SAN2 also known as Santu Singh off stage is a UK-born Versatile British Asian singer/performer.

Nottingham-born San2 had the natural gift to sing at a very early age which then later nurtured and trained classically.

Being born into a musical family and lineage of professional singers and musicians music is almost first nature to him.

San2‘s gift of music originates back to his Forefathers who used to sing Shabad/kirtan in Gurdwaras all over the world, music has hailed from generations to his father who then taught San2 at an early age.

Before San2‘s heavenly voice was discovered he had been training in classical Tabla learning from his teacher Ustad Gurmeet Singh Virdi Ji and gained great knowledge about the world of rhythm.

San2 is a Multi-Talented being, he plays Keyboards, guitar, tabla, dholki, drums and of course, in his main forte, his singing capability outshines all.

San2 was born to sing and perform! language and musical culture were no barrier to him as he was very passionate about singing in his Western mother tongue.

At the age of 12, he appeared on mainstream television ‘Disney Channel’ competing in a major singing competition ‘Star Ticket’ San2 made a massive impact amongst the big names of the pop industry the likes of ‘Samantha Mumba’ San2 got knocked out at the semi-final stages however he did not let this stop him from going further.

In 2008 he was entered into another singing competition airing on the popular Asian channel at that time called ‘Channel Punjab’ on a show called ‘Chak De Phatte’ which he won! in front of an audience across the world and a judging panel that consisted of individuals from the major Punjabi industry Tejwant Kittu (Music Director) Channi Singh (Alaap Group) Balwinder Safri & Apache Indian. San2 recorded what was to be his first release in the Punjabi industry music by Tejwant Kittu never saw through to release due to the channel becoming under liquidation.

Nayo Lagda – 2013

San2 Released his first debut Qawwali (theme) song ‘Nayo Lagda’ which shot straight to Number 1 on all platforms and Charts (BBC Asian Network/Itunes/All Asian Online portals)

San2 went on to perform his hit track and perform all over the UK including one of his major stage performances WEMBLEY ARENA – LONDON with his Live band. He also performed at all the major Melas up and down the country and performed at TRAFALGAR SQUARE – LONDON for 2 years consecutively on demand because of his popularity.

Gal Sunja – 2014

San2 has collaborated with the big names of the UK scene Rishi Rich, Shayal in 2014

San2 has been embraced by the music industry across the globe for his extraordinary talent. Television and radio presenters, artists, and fans congratulated San2 on his entry into the Punjabi music industry.

Several international artists have praised San2‘s voice, including Bollywood artist Shaan and Qawwali star Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. These artists have mentioned him in interviews.

San2 has performed at many Private Functions/Mehfils and weddings.

San2 got approached to perform live for the ‘Nihal Show’ at the Famous BBC Maida Vale Studios, he sang his original song ‘Sweeter’ and a cover of James Morrison’s track ‘You Give Me’
